PRODUCTS + MATERIALS

Built Around Your Project

Woodwright products are made to meet the specific design, performance, and installation requirements of each project.

Woodwright works with a wide range of wood species and grades in both solid and engineered constructions.

Available widths, lengths, grades, and cuts vary by species and product. White Oak, for example, is available in multiple grades and widths, while custom dimensions can be developed to meet specific project requirements.

Our team can help determine the right combination of species, grade, cut, dimensions, and construction for your application.

Both. Woodwright manufactures solid and engineered wood products in a wide variety of species and grades.

The right construction depends on the application, environmental conditions, design requirements, and installation method. Our team can help determine which option is best suited to your project.

Yes. Flooring, stair treads, risers, nosings, and other wood components can be coordinated to create a cohesive material palette throughout a project.

Woodwright can work with the species, color, finish, dimensions, and other design details to develop complementary flooring and stair components.

Woodwright offers custom solid, engineered, and wrapped stair tread solutions, including box treads and specialty configurations.

Treads can be developed around project-specific species, dimensions, construction, appearance, and installation requirements.

In addition to stair treads, Woodwright can manufacture custom risers, nosings, handrails, plinths, inlays, matching flooring, social stairs, tiered seating , and other specialty wood components.

Many components are fabricated in-house to meet the specific requirements of the project.

Yes. Custom color and texture matching are an important part of Woodwright's sampling process.

Our team can work from existing flooring or reference materials such as a laminate chip, paint chip, fabric swatch, or other finish sample to develop a wood sample around your design intent.

Because wood is a natural material, variation should be expected, and the final appearance should be evaluated through the sampling process.

Woodwright offers a range of finish systems depending on the product and application, including oil, urethane, wax, custom shop-applied finishes, UV urethane, and custom-blended colors.

The appropriate finish depends on factors such as desired appearance, traffic, application, and maintenance expectations.

You can order a sample through Woodwright's website or Material Bank. These are the same samples found in Woodwright sample boxes located in many A&D libraries.

You can also contact your Architect + Design representative for assistance selecting and specifying a product.

SAMPLES + DESIGN SUPPORT

See It Before You Specify It

Samples help project teams evaluate species, color, texture, grade, and finish before moving forward.

Yes. Woodwright offers samples to help architects, designers, contractors, and project teams evaluate materials before finalizing a specification or order.

You can choose from existing Woodwright samples or work with our team to develop a custom project-specific sample.

Woodwright offers a collection of quick-ship samples as well as custom project-specific samples.

Our sample collection includes White Oak, European White Oak, Pecan, Walnut, Sapele, Texas Post Oak, Texas Mesquite, reclaimed woods, and specialty treatments such as CNC cutting, laser cutting, and epoxy inlay.

If an existing sample isn't quite right, our team can also develop a custom option around your project's design requirements.

Browse our Samples Catalog to explore available options. Once you've found a sample you're interested in, select Request This Sample and submit your project information.

If you need something custom or aren't sure which sample is right for your project, contact our team and select Request a Sample.

Custom project samples typically take approximately 10–14 working days.

Timing can vary depending on the requested species, color, texture, finish, and complexity of the sample.

This timeline applies to custom samples, not full flooring or stair-tread production.

Woodwright's Architect + Design consultants can help narrow down the options for your project and determine whether an existing showroom sample meets your needs or a custom sample should be developed.

Custom samples can be created around project-specific species, cut, texture, color, and finish requirements.

Custom sampling typically takes 10–14 working days.

Yes. Woodwright offers several CEU courses sponsored by the National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA).

Yes. Commercial flooring is one of Woodwright's core specialties.

Our products have been used in corporate headquarters, higher education facilities, hospitality environments, monumental stairs, social spaces, and other demanding commercial applications.

Wood species, construction, finish, texture, dimensional stability, and expected traffic are all considered when developing a specification for a commercial project.

Woodwright installs wood flooring of any kind, T&G flooring products for vertical and ceiling applications , wood stair treads and risers, plinths, social seating, and project-specific specialty materials produced in our shop.

Most products we install are Woodwright-specified materials, although we also install products from other manufacturers.

Woodwright primarily provides turnkey installation on Texas projects, with a strong focus on the Dallas-Fort Worth market. For Texas projects, Woodwright provides installed pricing on its specified products.

For projects outside the primary service area, material-only solutions are available. When a project's requirements call for Woodwright's specialized installation expertise, crews may travel outside the region.

Yes. Woodwright can support projects outside the Dallas-Fort Worth area with material-only solutions.

When Woodwright's specialized installation skillset is needed outside the region, crews may travel for select projects. Availability depends on the project scope, location, schedule, and installation requirements.

Contact Woodwright with your project location and requirements to determine the appropriate approach.

The majority of our installers are long-term Woodwright employees.

We hire and train mechanics to work alongside our seasoned craftsmen in two-man teams.

Yes, but only for projects outside of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.

In the DFW market, Woodwright chooses to provide turnkey installed pricing only.

Woodwright provides installation guidance and industry-standard on-site services including floor preparation, moisture testing, and professional installation.

Installation requirements can vary by product and application. Always refer to the applicable Woodwright product documentation and manufacturer's installation instructions for project-specific requirements.

Care and maintenance requirements can also vary according to the flooring and finish system. Contact our team for information specific to your Woodwright product.

Woodwright product documentation commonly references subfloor preparation and flatness requirements, but the correct tolerance should always be confirmed against the specific product's installation instructions.

For example, Woodwright's White Oak specification references flattening the slab to a tolerance of 1/4” in 10' using cement-based floor leveler. Requirements may vary by product, so the applicable specification should be followed.

Woodwright's product documentation references calcium chloride testing as part of its installation requirements.

Moisture-testing requirements can vary by product and installation system, so always reference the applicable manufacturer and Woodwright installation instructions to ensure the requirements for the project are met and warranty conditions are maintained.

Adhesive requirements depend on the specific flooring product and installation system. Woodwright product specifications reference polyurethane or urethane-based adhesives for applicable direct-glue installations.

Woodwright's specifications have referenced Bostik products as a recommended adhesive option. Always follow the current product-specific installation instructions.

PERFORMANCE + RESPONSIBILITY

Built With the Bigger Picture in Mind

Material sourcing, indoor environmental quality, and long-term performance are important considerations in every specification.

Certification and documentation availability varies by product and specification. Woodwright currently identifies FSC® certification options for solid and engineered products, FloorScore® certification for many engineered products, and Health Product Declaration (HPD) documentation for many custom products.

Woodwright's current Architects & Designers information also references options such as no-added urea formaldehyde (NAUF), ultra-low-emitting formaldehyde (ULEF), and VOC-compliant stains and finishes where applicable.

If your project has specific LEED, WELL, Living Building Challenge, indoor air quality, sourcing, or material documentation requirements, contact Woodwright early in the specification process so the appropriate product documentation can be confirmed.

Warranty coverage varies by product, installation method, application, and applicable product documentation.

Product-specific specifications and installation requirements should be reviewed to understand the warranty conditions associated with a particular project.

Contact Woodwright for the warranty information applicable to your specific product and specification.

PRICING + ORDERING

From Specification to Proposal

Because Woodwright products are project-specific, pricing begins with understanding the material, quantity, and scope.

Woodwright provides project-specific pricing based on the product, quantity, specification, project location, and scope of work.

For Texas projects, Woodwright provides turnkey installed proposals on its specified products. For projects outside the primary installation service area, material-only quotes may be available, with installation support considered separately when appropriate.

Send us your project details , quantities, specifications, and location, and our team can help determine the appropriate pricing approach.

Because Woodwright flooring is made to order, pricing varies according to the material and project specification.

Factors can include wood species and grade, solid or engineered construction, plank dimensions and widths, cut, texture, custom color, finish system, quantity, custom fabrication, installation requirements, and overall project complexity.

The best way to establish accurate pricing is to provide our team with the project's specifications and requirements.

Production timing is determined on a project-by-project basis rather than by a single published lead time.

Factors can include the species and grade selected, construction, quantity, dimensions, custom color or texture, finish system, specialty fabrication, sample approval, material availability, and the complexity of the overall specification.

Installation requirements and project scheduling can also affect the overall timeline. Your Woodwright representative can help establish an appropriate production schedule once the project requirements are understood.

Woodwright is best involved early in the design and specification process, particularly when a project includes custom wood flooring, stairs, walls , ceilings , tiered seating, or other specialty applications.

Early involvement allows the team to help evaluate species, construction, dimensions, color, texture, finish, installation requirements, sustainability documentation, sampling, and production considerations before the specification is finalized.

Contact your Architect + Design representative to discuss your project and determine how Woodwright can support the design and specification process.
